Give the tool time before escalating a fresh placement as missing.
URL normalization affects reporting
HTTP versus HTTPS, www versus non-www, redirects, canonical tags and tracking parameters can cause the same destination to be grouped differently. Check the exact target URL and preferred canonical.
Sometimes the link appears under another URL variant rather than being absent.
Verify manually before chasing the database
The source page itself is the ground truth for whether the link exists. Use third-party tools for analysis and monitoring, not as the sole proof of delivery.
